KERNSAFE - iSCSI SAN Software and Storage Virtualization

This topic describes how to add trusted clients by using IP filters.

There are two ways to add an IP filter entry:
1. Select the target, then choose Clients -> Add on the menu bar.
2. Select the target, then click Add on the toolbar in the KernSafe iSCSI SAN Management Console.

The Add clients to IP filter dialog box appears as shown below:

Any: Grants the selected access permission to all clients.
IPv4: Grants the selected access permission to the client with the specified IPv4 address. Enter the address in Begin IP.
IPv4 Range: Grants the selected access permission to a range of IPv4 addresses. Enter the start and end addresses in Begin IP and End IP.
IPv6: Grants the selected access permission to the client with the specified IPv6 address.
MAC Address: Grants the selected access permission to the client with the specified MAC address. 

Begin IP: Starting IP address for the selected IP range.
End IP: Ending IP address for the selected IP range.

Access Mode: Sets the permission that will be applied to the current IP filter entry.

Click OK to return to the main interface and save the filter entry.
