iStorage Server: iSCSI Target working with gPXE and DHCP performing diskless boot

iSCSI Server Diskless Boot

This white paper shows how to perform a gPXE network boot from iStorage Server iSCSI Target. Client machine need to support network boot and don't need to be equipped with hard drive since operating system and all necessary programs will be installed on a remote iSCSI target. If needed such local drive can be installed and used for crash dumps or SWAMP files.

Thanks to that solution building thin clients is really easy and efficient. Not only will it benefit in lower operational cost, but also quieter operation and more efficient management.
