iStorage Server: iSCSI SAN for Performing Network Diskless Boot

iStorage Server Working with iSCSI HBA Performing Network Diskless Boot

iSCSI Network diskless boot

This white paper shows how to perform network diskless boot using HBA Adapter and iStorage Server. Diskless boot allows to turn on computer that don't have any local hard drive. Operating system and all data are installed and stored on a different computer that is running iStorage Server and it is accessed via network. Local hard drive thus not necessary can be used for SWAMP files or crash dumps.

That provides enormous benefit for virtualization computing servers environments in relation to RAID arrays. Other advantages of such solutions are lower operational costs, quieter operation and easier management.
