Multiple LUNs Device KernSafe Storage Center

A Multiple LUNs device is an advanced target that groups several simple targets under a single target object. This is useful when you want initiators to discover and manage multiple LUNs through one target connection.

Creating Multiple LUNs Device

Follow the steps below to create Multiple LUNs device:

Step 1. Open Advanced Targets and click Add to open the Create Advanced Target wizard.

Choose Multiple LUNs in Configuration Type window.
Press the Next button to continue.

Step 2. Add simple targets to Multiple LUNs.

Press Add to select the simple targets.

Check the devices that you want to use and press Add.

Note: You should select at least two devices.

Pos represents the LUN ID. Use the Up and Down controls to change the device order.

Step 3. Finish Creating iSCSI Target

Enter the target name.

Select an authorization mode. If you need more information, see Authorization Mechanism.

Global Authorization: The target inherits CHAP and IP filter settings from the global configuration. If this option is cleared, the target uses its own authorization settings.

Concurrent Access: Allows multiple initiators to access the target concurrently when the workload supports shared access.

Report Readonly: Reports the target as read-only when the initiator does not have write permission.

Click Finish to complete target creation.
