KernSafe iSCSI SAN 5.0 extends the broad platform coverage already delivered by versions 1.x through 4.x, including support for x86, x64, and Itanium-based Windows systems, Windows clustering, Hyper-V, Linux, Solaris, Citrix XenServer, and VMware ESX Server.
Version 5.0 introduces three major infrastructure enhancements:
IPv6 support and management: IPv6 can be used for iSCSI traffic and IP-based authorization.
Server Pool management: The iSCSI stack can listen on multiple IP addresses and ports at the same time.
VHDX image format: VHDX support removes the legacy VHD capacity limitation and improves compatibility with modern Hyper-V and Windows environments.

1. Added VHDX disk image format support.
2. Added IPv6 support.
3. Added IPv6-based IP filtering.
4. Added MAC address authorization.
5. Improved Virtual Write to support thin-provisioned VHDX image files.
6. Resolved legacy VHD issues.

8. Added support for the AIX iSCSI initiator.
9. Improved SMTP notification compatibility with more mail servers.
10. Fixed known issues in the GUI and iSCSI SAN core services.
