iStorage Server: IP SEC under Windows Server 2008 R2

iSCSI and IP SEC

This white paper demonstrates how to set up Secure iSCSI Target under the Windows IP Security Policies (IP Sec for short).

Such solution is used on networks to make them more secure. This is happening by encrypting and authenticating each IP packet that is sent and received at each session. Thanks to that every computer that is connected to network and is using IPSec is able to identify other computers. That allows that network itself is a lot more secure.

Setting up secure iSCSI Target under the Windows XP Security Policies is shown on Windows Server 2008 R2 operating system.
